Leader Education are looking for a Behavioural Support Worker to work at a small Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school that caters for students in KS2 and KS3 based in Northumberland. The successful Behavioural Support Worker will have had experience working closely with children who have SEMH needs and is able to support them through the behaviour that they present using transferable skills from previous roles. The school delivers learning on a holistic basis, enabling them to re-engage at their own speed and reach their full potential.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30am until 4:00pm and is a long-term position.
The successful Behavioural Support Worker will have:
* An enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to obtain one
* Enthusiasm for working in education
* Relevant experience and transferable skills to support children efficiently
* Experience working with children who have SEMH needs
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
* Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting student learning
