The role This is a key role for a talented and innovative senior leader with the drive to transform a specific area of our Media delivery into our Training Design Service (TDS). Leading this aspect of Media this person will enable the business to deliver learning that is blended, active and provides customer delight. In this role there is great scope to make a significant and tangible impact to Royal Navy Training Design Services. Working in a dynamic business this role demands collaboration across a range of stakeholders, our ideal candidate will have led and operated in a commercially focused learning partnership; working at the strategic/operational level. They will manage the production and maintenance of all relevant training design documentation including all media requirements for course delivery. This role will require specialist knowledge to enable all teams to create relevant L&D interventions. Although this position will be working in a military environment, the right candidate does not need a military background. Main duties include: Manage the production of interactive media for our customer's training courses in accordance with Courseware / Media production process, Development Manual and Style Guide. Manage the production of interactive media in accordance with best practice in areas of Graphic Design, Multi-Media. Manage the creation of eLearning/ media / animation sequences / virtual environments exploiting effective asset management and workflow. Visualising and planning of media along a timeline. Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a management background in interactive media design, is comfortable working within a standardised development environment, thinks creatively, is confident, excels in a collaborative team atmosphere, and is detail oriented. A professional attitude, ability to follow technical and workflow processes, and solid communication skills are essential. Essential: Experience in creating and developing media content with high levels of proficiency in the required field. Must be organised and work well both independently and in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to comprehend/interpret technical and non-technical information and apply it to visual media and animations. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment. To effectively communicate with stakeholders outside of the media team to gather technical information necessary for media requirements. Experience to be a senior lead in your area of expertise and confident to manage/support others. Experience managing projects and leading small teams to ensure standards and project milestones are met. The successful candidate must be able to qualify for SC security clearance. Desirable: Experience in developing interactive training (e-learning, multimedia). Experience with Adobe CC Suite including Photoshop / Illustrator. Experience with Articulate 360 Recent experience in training design /Instructional Design Understanding of Quality Assurance procedures. A qualification in Digital Media, Graphic Design or a related field at the minimum grade of QCF Level 6 (Degree) or equivalent.
