Job Title First Team Chef Department Club - Reports to the Director of Football and First Team Manager Key Contacts Internal - First Team Management, Chief Executive Officer, Club Secretary, Finance Manager Key Contacts External – Suppliers Location / Requirements - Based at Stevenage Football Club Training Ground located at Bragbury End Training Ground, Aston Lane, Stevenage, Herts, SG2 8WN Hours/ Remuneration - 28 hours per week. 9.30am – 2.30pm Monday - Friday. Saturday Home post-match meal. Remuneration dependent on experience. Job Purpose - This role will see the successful candidate responsible for providing breakfast and lunch for the Stevenage FC First Team squad on a daily basis. The selected applicant will work closely with the First Team management to plan, order and cook a varied, nutritional and balanced menu whilst also working to a competitive budget. Duties and Responsibilities: Working closely with The Athletic Development Coach and Nutritionist & First Team Physiotherapist to freshly prepare a healthy breakfast and lunch option for players, management and staff on each SFC training day Prepare and provide post-match food for players, management and staff on each SFC home Match Day Produce and prepare food for team travel on each SFC away match day Order produce and ingredients to a set budget Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas on a daily basis Undertake a monthly “deep clean” of kitchen & dining areas Ensure the highest standards are maintained across the kitchen, dining room and serving areas In addition to your normal duties, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as requested by The Director of Football or First Team Manager. About The Candidate Personal Specification: First Team Chef Qualifications Food Safety & Hygiene Training minimum L2 HACCP Training minimum L2 Degree or Diploma in Catering from a University or College Advanced DBS Disclosure Emergency first aid certificate Valid full (UK) driver’s licence Skills, Knowledge & Experience Minimum of 3 year’s experience working within a kitchen as a Chef, preparing and cooking food Experience of meal planning, preparation and service delivery Strong organisational and administrative skills Excellent communication skills Accurate timekeeping skills Attitude/Behaviours Takes responsibility for ensuring a high quality of work A genuine team player who will support and motivate other members of the team An adaptive individual who can cope well in high pressure situations Personal Qualities Hardworking and enthusiastic Meticulous attention to detail Understands the importance of confidentiality and integrity at all times Loyal and committed Seeks to learn and develop daily About The Club Website: https://www.stevenagefc.com/ Policies: https://www.stevenagefc.com/more/policies-f38bea75
