Job Overview:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) at a primary school in Thornton. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about SEN support and can provide a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support, helping the child engage in classroom activities.
* Implement tailored strategies to support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
* Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to meet the child's individual needs.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with ASC or other additional needs.
* A calm, patient, and compassionate approach.
* Strong behavior management skills.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare) are desirable but not essential.
