About the Role
:
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working in our social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
This role will see you working as an Assistant quantity surveyor Part of a local team assisting Commercial & General Manager with commercial control & reporting on high standard Commercial activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class commercial acumen, customer service and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
1. Build Up and Generate Specifications & Scope of works.
2. Management of Commercial WIP & Cost Liabilities
3. Collate, submit, and agree applications/payment with the client including aged debt Management
4. Generate cost & Value reporting information
5. Subcontractor Management, Including agreeing/Negotiating Rates, Procurement, payment, and systems management.
6. Asist in Preparation of monthly CVR’s
7. Attend contractual meetings with Stakeholders & produce any specific commercial information required for these meetings.
8. Support identification, Preparation, and pricing of new works opportunities/Tenders.
9. Line Management of Up to 3 people
Role Criteria:
10. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial capacity, Working in the Social housing Sector as a principle and/or Main contractor across Voids & Repairs Business streams:
11. Experience working with typical Pricing agreements & Frameworks within a TPC Contract, which includes
12. Experience Measuring Works, Generating and Agreeing applications.
13. Experience Reviewing, Validating and approving subcontractor quotations & variations in line with pricing agreements (NHF V7.2)
14. Experience managing supply chain Partners.
15. Experience in financial reporting and data analysis
16. Strong numeracy and financial management skills
17. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are necessary.
18. IT skills including advanced Excel and Word are essential.
