Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods, maintaining a safe working environment, and achieving performance targets. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What will you do?
* Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Schedule shifts and assign tasks to team members based on workload and priorities.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to support staff development.
* Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory control to manage stock levels.
* Implement and maintain warehouse policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
* Address and resolve any safety incidents or violations promptly.
* Ensure the quality and integrity of incoming and outgoing goods.
* Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and shipments.
* Implement quality control procedures to minimize errors and defects.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
* Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and execute operational strategies.
* Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to optimize operations.
* Liaise with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
* Provide regular updates and reports to the Warehouse Manager on team performance, inventory status, and operational issues.
* Address and resolve any team or operational conflicts effectively.
What do you need?
* Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Forklift certification (Reach, CB, VNA)
