Job Description
Are you driven to help reduce our impact on the climate? We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven record in managing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across various projects, from local schemes to nationally significant infrastructure projects. You will support clients in transport, power, renewable energy, and water sectors to deliver low-carbon, sustainable projects.
The role is part of our growing Carbon and ESG Practice, which includes over 50 professionals across the UK, providing services in decarbonisation, climate risk, circular economy, waste management, social impact, and sustainability to corporates and infrastructure providers.
You will collaborate with Practice leadership and the Carbon Service Line lead to expand greenhouse gas advisory services aligned with business strategy and priorities.
This position offers flexibility in location and can be based in Birmingham, Basingstoke, Bristol, Cardiff, Croydon, Dublin, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Nottingham, or Manchester.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven expertise in greenhouse gas management and reporting, including assessment of emissions in infrastructure projects in transport, power, renewables, and water sectors.
* Knowledge of UK planning processes related to climate impacts and environmental impact assessments.
* Experience in developing carbon management plans for infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of greenhouse gas reporting standards such as GHG Protocol, PAS2080, and ISO 14000 series.
* Familiarity with UK/EU GHG policies and legislation.
* Experience leading the development of Net Zero Transition Plans.
* Management experience, including motivating and developing staff.
* Business development skills, including project delivery, marketing, and proposal writing.
* Additional experience in delivering GHG services in energy, carbon capture, and water transportation sectors, developing targets, and understanding nature-based solutions and offsetting is desirable.
