A bit about the job:
We have a vacancy for a Finance Operations Associate role where you will be responsible for supporting all duties which relate to the payment functions operated by the business. Activities include payment processing, process development, debt monitoring, documenting process change & supporting all payment activities on a day-to-day basis. This role is important to us as it ensures customers/external stakeholders are handled effectively.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Supporting our offshore colleagues as a first point of contact for finance referrals, providing expertise and guidance to correct/amend policies due to system errors or as a response to Customer queries.
* Requires an understanding of the finance Collection process to determine correct outcome for customers.
* Undertake due diligence when performing tasks using a logical approach, being able to conduct checks and balances and build a comprehensive knowledge of system processes.
* Assisting frontline operations with finance matters within acceptable SLAs and Finance related tasks (Analysis, Procurement, Compliance). Initiate system improvements where possible.
* Avoid financial detriment to customers wherever feasible and meet contractual deadlines relating to Suppliers.
* Conduct training to our Teleperformance Team when required on the finance platform and collections processes.
* Work as an individual to complete assigned tasks but also act as a support role to team members to fulfil their roles and enrich their knowledge.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Excel proficiency
* Financial services background
* Broader business skills around business analysis, financial analysis. Worked previously in a finance/collection’s role with experience in a customer facing role.
* Prefer knowledge of finance processes covering AR/AP, Cash Management, general ledger management, banking processes, financial reconciliation etc.
* Numeracy and logical skills

* Salary: circa £30,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
* Bonus: opportunity of 8% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s)
