Sustainability Engineer

This is a great opportunity to join a multidisciplined building services firm who are at the forefront of MEP design across all sectors of the industry. They are on the lookout for an established sustainability engineer to join their energy team in their Milton Keynes office.
Role responsibilities for a Sustainability Engineer include:
1. Carry out site visits to undertake EPC surveys and produce EPCs for non-domestic and commercial projects
2. Undertake Part L analysis for design stages of projects
3. Produce sustainability statements and Low or Zero Carbon feasibility reports for design stages of non-domestic projects
4. Use IES-VE software to carry out overheating assessments and daylight studies
5. Work alongside the building services team on projects as well as mentoring more junior members of staff
The ideal Sustainability Engineer will have:
1. Relevant degree within an environmental science, architecture, or engineering discipline
2. Good experience as a building physics or sustainability engineer within the construction industry
3. Proficiency with IES-VE software to carry out energy modelling
4. It would be beneficial to have an energy assessor qualification such as an OCDEA
5. Working towards a CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessor qualification would be advantageous
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills
