Global Head of Data & Analytics London with 2 days WFM Circ £100,000 - £120,000 Bonus This newly created Global Head of Data & Analytics position will excite experienced data professionals looking for an opportunity to provide strategic leadership and direction for global business that is expanding and increasing revenue turnover at a remarkable pace. This is an opportunity to lead a small but growing team that includes Data Engineering and Business Intelligence resource to transform data into real world actionable insight that will play a pivotal role in ensuring the business can not only meet but exceeds expectations. Originating from and based in London, with operational sites in the USA and Far East, their journey is a real success story for British business. The role requires a Head of Data & Analytics ideally with ecommerce experience, thats previously worked in a global operation leading distributed Data and BI teams. As well as excellent stakeholder engagement skills up to and including C Level, its a role that still needs someone still close enough to data engineering technology and methods to allow them to lead by example when required. Its an opportunity thats well suited to someone aspiring to take that next step up to a director level position. Key Responsibilities include; Spearhead Data Strategy & Execution, with key benefits clear to Leadership Team. Stakeholder engagement at all levels of the business, leading by example on improved use of Data, Visualisations and Dashboards within the business. Leadership, mentoring and people management of a globally diverse team. Ensuring that Data Quality improvement opportunities are considered and maximised. Ensuring that data, reports and insights are available in a timely manner. Effective data & analytics programme management. Key Experience, Skills and Knowledge: Minimum of bachelors degree in data science, data engineering, computer science or related fields. Demonstratable equivalent experience and successes will be considered. Expert and current knowledge of Data Strategies, Data Warehousing, Governance, and Business Intelligence and data platforms. Experience of the Microsoft tools (Synapse is fine and Fabric advantageous). Experience with Azure cloud technologies and MS DevOps. Knowledge of SQL and PySpark development and best practices. Ideally strong background in ecommerce, with experience in scaling online platforms. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities. Proven track record of successfully leading hybrid, distributed Data and BI teams. This is a hybrid role based in Central / West London with the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.
