As the HSW Strategy & Reporting Manager, you’ll report to the Head of HSW (Strategy, Assurance & Systems) and work across the Health Safety and Wellbeing function, supporting the wider HSW Leadership Team.
Your role is to support the development of HSW strategy and drive delivery of the agreed strategic plans and initiatives, working closely with colleagues in other departments to maximise collaboration. You will have gained experience of improving health safety and wellbeing in an operational role within a large organisation and have excellent planning and communication skills to assist in the promotion of our plans and track their implementation.
You will also be responsible for coordinating the delivery of performance and improvement reporting to all levels of the Thames Water business. Leading a team of analysts to develop and maintain reporting, interrogating data for insights to share with the wider HSW team and ensure integrity and timeliness of the data we hold.
What you’ll be doing as a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Strategy & Reporting Manager
* Develop and drive implementation / tracking of the HSW Strategy and Business plans, working with our functional business partners to ensure timely delivery
* Responsible for the collation and preparation of company HSW performance data and information
* Lead continual data insights to support the Director of HSW / Heads of HSW deliver continual improvements in HSW performance and business compliance
* Maintain an up-to-date view of HSW business plan delivery priorities including governance for the HSW Leadership Team
* Lead, manage and develop staff to achieve agreed objectives, providing strong leadership aligned with the Thames Water Values
* Effectively lead the Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture of the team as well as driving and creating an environment where good practices are a way of everyday life and total compliance is adhered to in line with Health & Safety Policy
* Ensuring an exceptional service to both our internal and external customers with early personal interventions as required
What you should bring to the role
* Strong background involving management of health safety and wellbeing in a utility or construction field
* Ability to analyse technical data and information / evaluate problems and identify solutions, presenting findings to HSW Lead Team
* Taking ownership of your workload and prioritising your own and team’s tasks
* Ability to lead and develop people within a team, prioritising and directing workloads
* Developed communication / interpersonal skills – written and presentations to Exec Management Level
* Strong IT skills, including use of Microsoft packages such as Power Automate and PowerBI
* Good stakeholder engagement and customer focus
* Chartered member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety & Health)
