Family Support Worker – Birmingham

Father Hudson’s Caritas has a vacancy for a Family Support Worker to provide a range of support services to address social and emotional needs of children and their families. We are looking for an experienced Family Support Worker with knowledge and skills to undertake direct work with vulnerable primary and secondary aged children and their families. This is a school-based role, and you will be required to work in three schools.
This role is whole year, and you will be required to work during some of the school holidays.

Yatesbury Av, Castle Vale, Birmingham, B35 6LB (2 days)
• St Edmund Campion Catholic School
Sutton Road, Erdington, Birmingham, B23 5XA (1 day)
• SS Peter & Paul Catholic Primary School
Kingsbury Road, Erdington, Birmingham B20 3AE (1 day)
Hours: 30 hours per week (four days Monday - Thursday) – Fixed Term until 31/8/25
The salary scale for this post is SCP 27-30 paid at £29,368 - £32,557 per annum, pro rata.
Working with schools, health and social care agencies and the voluntary sector, our Family Support Service supports children and families to overcome adversity and disadvantage they face, particularly where these are affecting a child’s emotional wellbeing, mental health and educational achievement.
