Salary: Grade 8: £45,140 to £57,803 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £64,606 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution.

Digital Services are looking for a Solution Architect to join our Architecture and Application Team. Working with the other architects, the role will be pivotal in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure IT solutions that align with the university's strategic goals. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of technology projects.
Key responsibilities will be:
* Design and implement innovative solutions that meet the needs of the university.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of IT systems.
* Provide technical management of IT applications, ensuring that agreed service levels are met and all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
The successful candidate must have:
* Proven experience as a Solutions Architect.
* Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and software development.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Substantial experience of application solution architecture in a large, complex organisation.
* Experience of Public cloud infrastructure.
* Experience of working in Higher Education.
