Our client, an independent consultancy, is currently seeking a dedicated and proficient Senior/Town Planner to join their team based in Cornwall. This permanent position offers a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to contribute to a variety of planning applications, including full planning, certificates of lawfulness, non-material amendments, discharge of conditions, pre-applications, and appeals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing and coordinating broad ranges of planning applications
2. Preparing and submitting certificates of lawfulness
3. Handling non-material amendments and discharge of conditions
4. Conducting pre-applications and managing appeal processes
5. Engaging with clients, providing expert planning advice and support
6. Collaborating closely with the planning team to ensure project success
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation and policies
8. Representing clients at planning committees and public inquiries as required
Job Requirements:
1. Strong experience in town planning
2. Excellent understanding of planning legislation and regulatory frameworks
3. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
6. Relevant qualification in town planning or a related discipline
