About the role

As Director of Product Design, you'll lead the Zellis design team where you will use your creative, managerial and operational experience to develop our products working alongside Product Managers, Engineering and business stakeholders to create effective and innovative HR applications and services.
Key responsibilities in the role will include:
* Developing and executing a visionary product design strategy, conducting market research, identifying trends, and capitalising on innovation opportunities.
* Leading and mentoring the Product Design team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
* Managing the end-to-end design process, from ideation to implementation, ensuring high design standards and timely delivery.
* Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Marketers and our senior leadership team to align design decisions with business objectives and feasibility.
* Championing exceptional user experiences by integrating usability, accessibility and aesthetics into the design.
* Conducting thorough design evaluations, leveraging user feedback and iterative design principles to identify areas for improvement.
Skills & experience
* You'll have worked in a leadership role with B2B2C tech products previously on a consistent basis, or had balanced experience in both B2B and B2C environments.
* Demonstrable experience setting and executing a design strategy that aligns with business goals.
* Experience combining user and business requirements to create intuitive and performant user experiences, ideally demonstrated through an online portfolio or past work, projects or case studies.
* Proven track record of successfully leading a portfolio of design projects from concept to launch.
* Experience with a range of user research methods, mapping user journeys, running focus groups and gathering insights from research to make well informed design decisions.
* Proficiency with industry design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite.
* Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, UX/UI best practices, and design systems.
* Experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to motivate and inspire the team with effective communication, delegation and decision-making skills.
