An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic, and motivated nurse to join our friendly and supportive Community Team for People with a Learning Disability (CTLD) in Hywel Dda University Health Board, based in Llanelli.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to work proactively and creatively, using your skills and experience as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to adults and young people with a learning disability in partnership with them and their families/carers. You will have the opportunity to work closely with other colleagues in the multi-disciplinary team, and will provide specialist advice, support, and training to colleagues, families, and carers in addition to the people on your caseload.
You will also be supported to develop your own clinical competency profile and to develop skills in specialist areas of practice. We offer regular supervision, professional development, and access to peer nursing support.
We would expect any interested candidates to be up to date with current learning disability policy/legislation and demonstrate an ability to improve service delivery by promoting change in health-related projects. We are keen to support nurses who are willing to share new ideas and suggest improvements. We have close links with Improvement Cymru and have access to dedicated in-house project management support.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Interviews will be held on 17/10/2024.
