Logistics Manager

Pod Talent is partnering with a well-established food business to find a Logistics Manager who will play a key role in improving supply chain and logistics operations. This is a great opportunity to drive efficiency and cost-saving solutions in a growing team.

The Role

As the Logistics Manager, you'll be pivotal in reviewing and improving the supply chain. You will support the development of a central logistics strategy, managing both national and international transport routes to enhance efficiency and meet savings targets. You will report to senior management, providing data-driven insights and ensuring smooth communication across the supply chain. Additionally, you will oversee daily deliveries, develop SOPs, and collaborate with other departments to identify and capitalize on opportunities for supply chain consolidation.

Key Responsibilities for the position of Logistics Manager -

* Lead supply chain improvement projects to enhance logistics efficiency.
* Develop and implement a central logistics concept for national and international transport.
* Provide data-backed reports to senior management to support decision-making.
* Ensure financial control of logistics operations, focusing on savings and delivery timing.
* Create SOPs and facilitate cross-functional collaboration with other business units.

Key Experience Needed for the position of Logistics Manager -

* Experience in logistics or supply chain project management, ideally in the food or FMCG sectors.
* Proven track record in mid-senior logistics roles, with multi-site experience.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments.
* Experience managing transformation or change projects within a logistics environment.
* Proficient in IT, including data analysis tools like PowerBI and advanced Excel skills.
