Job purpose
This role will involve the writing of key course content in Business and Management programmes at level 3, for onsite delivery as well as online delivery (with support and training from an online specialist). The postholder will develop the curriculum and ensure that all materials meet the requirements of the awarding body (ATHE) in line with the UKGC pedagogy. This will include lectures, seminars and interactive tasks along with relevant answer keys and session outlines.
Main duties and responsibilities
Develop curriculum documents including module specifications, programme specifications, assessments, schemes of work and session outlines
Design, write and produce course materials and assessments for business subjects for on site delivery
At the same time, complete the online templates for the Learning Designer and remain in contact to ensure the finished online materials meet expectations
Ensure that all materials meet the required internal and external standards
Design and develop assessments and suitable marking criteria
Attend meetings as required
Work effectively, diligently and with attention to detail, while meeting deadlines
Any other duties linked to the role allocated by the Dean or other UKGC staff

Qualifications
Essential:
* An undergraduate degree in business
* A teaching qualification or Advance HE Fellowship
Desirable:
* A postgraduate degree in business
Experience and knowledge
Essential:
* Relevant experience of producing materials in business
* Teaching experience in business
* Understanding of subject benchmarks and quality assurance
Desirable:
* Experience of creating materials for online delivery
Skills and Abilities
Essential:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Knowledge of Ms Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams
* Exceptional organisational skills
* Ability to work without close supervision and to set own priorities
