Job summary
This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, one of the largest providers of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role focuses on supporting the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation. You will also be involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations. Additionally, you will support residents with their medication requirements, undertake staff supervisions, and support staff with their development. You will act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus asaSeniorCare Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team todeliverhigh standardsof personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive,andinclusiveenvironmentfor residents,visitorsand staff.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
1. Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
2. Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
3. Supporting residents with their medication requirements.

5. Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

6. Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
7. Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
8. Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
9. Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
10. Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

13. To be successful in this role, you will need to have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, and at least 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment. You should also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
