Location:
Bristol/Cardiff office
Reports to:
Head of Department / Partners
Purpose:
To support the Head of Department/Partners in the provision of legal services by providing legal and administrative assistance to fee earners and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist fee earners in the management of their caseload by actioning legal procedures as directed.
2. Deal with file-related queries either face to face or by telephone.
3. Process matters in a timely and cost-effective manner.
4. Maintain files by effective file management.
5. Ensure clients are dealt with efficiently and politely.
6. Attend to clients, taking instructions, and conducting enquiries as necessary.
7. Assist in the opening of client files and updating records onto the case management system.
8. Provide general administrative support (photocopying, faxing, scanning, filing, etc.).
9. Support with Land Registry searches and other searches as required.
10. Ensure billing takes place promptly and outstanding balances are collected.
11. Use correct Practice procedures and systems to manage cases effectively.
12. Enhance the firm's client base through effective liaison with existing clients.
13. Identify opportunities for cross-selling services.
14. Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality of work under supervision.

Experience Required:
Essential:
1. Practical experience in a legal office environment.
2. Experience in office administration.
3. Experience handling client enquiries.
4. Computer literate with good keyboard skills.
5. Experience in property transactional work.
