Technical Support Team Leader (Peterborough)

Your Role
As a Technical Support Team Leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing the assembly, inspection, and repair of specialist equipment, ensuring all products meet rigorous quality standards before dispatch. Your day-to-day will include:
1. Leading & Supervising - Oversee the assembly, picking, packing, and quality inspection of Octagon orders.
2. Quality Control & Repairs - Carry out detailed inspections, testing, and repairs of returned products.
3. Stock Management - Ensure stock accuracy with regular cycle counts and annual stock takes.
4. Health & Safety Compliance - Maintain risk assessments, COSHH compliance, and health & safety procedures.
5. Process Improvement - Support operational efficiency through best practices and compliance.
6. Collaboration - Work closely with engineers, quality managers, and warehouse teams to streamline processes.
7. On-Site & Occasional Travel - Conduct product inspections and repairs as required.

What You'll Need
1. Previous experience in mechanical engineering, fabrication, or a similar setting required
2. Strong understanding of product assembly, quality control, and stock management
3. Experience using torque wrenches, micrometers, verniers, and other inspection tools
4. Ability to supervise teams while ensuring high-quality and safety standards
5. Previous Welding (MIG) and forklift (Reach Truck) preferred
6. Full UK driving license preferred
