Essex Highways (EH) manages and maintains one of the largest and most dynamic highway networks in the country. A collaborative partnership between Essex County Council (ECC) and Ringway Jacobs, EH is committed to ensuring safe, efficient, and well-coordinated highways services. In this role, you will work closely with our contractual partner to oversee and support the investigation and monitoring of streetworks. You will play a key role in coordinating various resources to enhance our network management duties, prioritizing safety and accessibility for the traveling public.
The Role
1. Contribute to delivery of the Network Management Duty
2. Help in the operation of the Permit Scheme in accordance with Scheme Document and Section 3 of the Traffic Management Act.
3. Assist the Senior Compliance Officer and other Senior Officers to ensure delivery of the Essex Highways and Essex Permit Scheme objectives, as defined in agreed service plans, in accordance with all council and Essex Highways standards and policies.
4. Review and process all fees and charges within requisite timescales and in accordance with good practice and legislation.
5. Ensure all fees and charges are reviewed and issued in accordance with the relevant legislation/code of practice/guidance documents.
Minimum Requirements
* GCSE grades A-C/9-4 in Maths and English
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel & Power BI
* Thorough, disciplined, and detail-oriented person

* Ability to think logically and apply detailed analysis of data
