Job Description
As Finance Manager, you will have responsibility for a team of Management Accountants. Your primary role will be to manage them effectively and get hands-on with the month-end process, improving controls and ensuring that reporting is delivered accurately and efficiently. In addition to this, there will be lots of other process improvement projects for you to focus on, for example, the supplier setup process.
You will act as the main point of contact for Audit and will oversee PAYE & Payroll accounting as well as maintaining the fixed asset registers, balance sheet reconciliations, and purchase ledger.
With a large proportion of the workforce being in Ops, it will be your role to establish a finance presence during important conversations, challenge when needed, and understand commercially why decisions are being made and how finance can effectively support this.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have a strong background in management accounts. Ideally, you will have been heavily involved in audit in a previous role, and if you've had multi-site experience, that is an absolute bonus.
You may already be in a Finance Manager position, but you could very well be in a Management Accountant role or Group Reporting role at the moment and ready for the next step up.
