Role description:
We currently have an opportunity for a talented Drainage Engineer Rail to join our Rail Northwest & Central Business Unit, responsible for managing drainage projects or components of projects, meeting financial, quality and timeframe objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations.

Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for planning assigned project work and effectively allocating resources to ensure timely delivery. Collaborating with other design disciplines is crucial to maintaining the overall integrity of the design or solution. The role encompasses strategic project planning, efficient resource allocation, and collaborative engagement with various design disciplines to ensure comprehensive and high-quality project outcomes. Quality assurance is a key aspect, involving the review of project outputs to ensure they meet or exceed client expectations, comply with national standards and codes of practice, and align with Arcadis requirements. Building effective working relationships with the Project Director or Manager and clients is essential for clear communication of progress, changes, and issue resolution.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Have a BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
2. Experience of building (foul and surface water inc SUDS) drainage, earthworks drainage, rail/highways drainage required.
3. Experience of obtaining consents from various authorities eg LLFA, Water Authorities.
4. Experience with drainage tools and software.
5. Relevant experience including supervision of elements of large, complex projects.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
