The role is for either a scrub or anaesthetic practitioner, caring for patients undergoing planned Cardiothoracic surgery. We also provide an emergency service for patients requiring life saving interventions. Cardiothoracic Theatres operate Monday to Friday only. An On Call commitment is required to provide a 24 hour service. This commitment attracts an extra payment., South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme has been designed to support our staff in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the following training sessions.

After you complete these three and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.

We are seeking either an experienced practitioner who is looking for a new challenge or a Newly Qualified Nurse /Operating Department Practitioner looking to become part of a highly driven and valued professional team. Previous experience and knowledge is not necessary as we offer a comprehensive training package with mentorship tailored to your needs.
