If the answer to any of these questions is “yes” then we would like to hear from you.
Waingels, a popular 11-18 school where students achieved above national average in all measures and was identified as “continuing to be good” in a recent OFSTED inspection, is seeking to appoint a Lead Practitioner for Business & Enterprise to further enhance our provision. The role includes responsibility for leading and supporting with our well established, whole school careers and enterprise programme which is a significant part in us being considered as a leading school for personal development (Challenge Partners, 2023). The curriculum is well sequenced, “It builds pupils’ knowledge and develops skills for future learning and employment” and “…identified exactly what teachers need to teach and when to teach it” (OFSTED 2023)
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, seeking a new challenge or experience of leading on whole school initiative and events. We would consider full or part- time teachers.
The successful candidate will teach Business Studies to 4 classes, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate. The ability to teach Economics to KS4 or A-Level would be an advantage but is not essential.
We would also consider a candidate wishing to have a defined TLR for Careers and Enterprise instead of being a Lead Practitioner.
Working with us offers you the opportunity to:
* Join a “kind and caring school” where pupils “enjoy being part of the inclusive community” (OFSTED 2023) that aims to be an “exceptional school at the heart of our community”.
* Be part of a forward thinking department with well-resourced schemes of work and where teachers are encouraged to be innovative and try out a range of teaching styles.
* Engage in excellent, personalised, professional development opportunities
* Join a school where early finishes for parent consultation evenings and free tea and coffee every day are just some of the ways we ensure staff well-being is central to our decision making
* Work in a school that has been designated a “Leading” school for Personal Development by Challenge Partners.
* Work in a school where the values of Respect, Kindness, Pride and Responsibility underpin all we do.
If you feel your value and ethos align with ours, this is an exciting opportunity for you to pursue and advance your career.
Our staff and students are proud of our school and we would be happy to welcome you if you would like to come and have a closer look.
