Extended Scope Physiotherapist (Hip Team)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hip Team as an Extended Scope Practitioner. This post will involve working as a high-level practitioner with advanced clinical skills within the Hip Multidisciplinary Team, primarily to ensure that patients receive holistic, timely and high-quality clinical care. You will provide specialist management and advice for patients with hip disorders both pre and post operatively. The role will also include working clinically as a Physiotherapist within the Heavitree Physiotherapy department.

As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will work autonomously with an agreed cohort of hip patients in delivering clinics on behalf of the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons, providing initial assessment and diagnosis, identifying and interpreting appropriate investigations, listing for surgical and therapeutic procedures and the follow up of patients.
The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing patients with a wide range of neuro musculoskeletal conditions; have post-graduate qualifications relevant to the position and demonstrable, high level clinical reasoning skills. The post holder will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, have excellent communication and leadership skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a Multidisciplinary Team.
Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week. Worked over 3 days per week.

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2024-5 rates, inclusive of a 5.5% pay award implemented from October 2024. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 2024 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2023-4 pay bandings.
