Key responsibilities:
1. Oversee and process licensing applications, including those under the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005.
2. Conduct inspections, gather evidence, and prepare prosecution papers and witness statements as part of the enforcement process.
3. Represent the council at resident and business forums and provide expert guidance on licensing matters.
4. Prepare detailed reports for committee hearings and attend hearings and court proceedings when required.
5. Effectively manage a complex caseload and prioritize competing demands to ensure deadlines are met.
6. Collaborate with other team members and provide guidance to junior staff when required.
