Workshop Engineer x 2 East Sussex BN23 6QF – full driving licence essential, at least 18 months Position 1: Mon - Fri 9am to 5pm - 40 hours per week, additional hours as required: “On Call” week including weekend cover that week. Salary of £25,895 pa Position 2: Mon- Fri 9am to 4 pm, 35 hrs per week - Salary £22,659 pa Purpose of the Role Provide a workshop based engineering role repairing, servicing and maintaining wheelchairs for Rosscare around the East Sussex area. Main Duties and Responsibilities Workshop Service: Conduct repairs servicing and maintenance as directed by the Warehouse Manager / Service Manager Process all associated paperwork concerning repairs and servicing accurately on a daily basis Ensure infection control policy is followed at all times Undertake Engineering work in terms of service, repairs and scrapping and to be accountable for the outcomes Undertake Admin duties as required and update the system Ensure all parts used are allocated through correct process, recorded on the system Strict adherence to Ross Care’s operational procedures Be professional in all communication, in the way company is represented to our clients Stocktake– to assist with annual and interim stocktakes as required There is a requirement for this role to participate in an emergency call out rota and to support the field service duties Field Service: Conduct service calls as directed by the Warehouse Manager/ Service Manager Ensure vehicle is safe, clean and tidy at all times, report any issues Process all associated paperwork fully and accurately and return it to the depot once completed Be professional in all communication and adhere to Ross Care operational procedures, policies and instructions This job description shall not limit your Workshop Engineer role, you will also be expected to carry out any other duties that your Manager feels are within your capabilities and skill set including Field Service duties in line with operational requirements.
