Senior Service Desk Engineer

We've partnered with a large organisation based in Royston who are looking for a Senior Service Desk Engineer to join their IT function, providing internal IT support to multiple sites across the UK.
You will be responsible for logging tickets, resolving issues, fixing hardware and software problems, maintaining IT documentation and getting involved with various installs, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects. You will work closely with the Head of Service desk as well as infrastructure engineers within the business, so it's a great learning opportunity for you!
This position is based onsite, and a driving license is essential, as there will be occasions when you will need to visit sites within the local area. All candidates must already be located within the local area and have the full right to work in the UK without any restrictions. Unfortunately, this is not an entry-level position and we're unable to accept applications from those overseas.
The Role:
* Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to internal employees, both onsite and remotely
* Hardware and Software Support
* Desktop support
* Get involved with any IT infrastructure projects
* Occasional local travel to other sites to provide support
Requirements:
* A minimum of 2 years IT Support experience within a Windows environment
* Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and Laptop Configurations
* Full right to work in the UK without any restrictions
* Able to participate in the on-call rota (more info below)
* Full driving licence and access to a car
* Happy working onsite in Royston 5 days a week
Due to the nature of the business, there is an on-call rota which you would only be added to once you are fully up and running in this role. The on-call rota is once every 4 weeks and can be done remotely. There is an on-call allowance to compensate.
