Role Overview: As the Commercial Partnerships Manager you have responsibility for finding ways to expand the productivity and reach of Kuoni’s Retail division to meet targets and generate incremental revenue through the growth of Third Party and Specialist sales. You will negotiate excellent commercial terms and competitive rates alongside day to day account management. What you’ll be doing: Commercial management of Specialist and 3 rd party relationships Manage relationships with key 3 rd party suppliers Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Specialist and 3 rd party suppliers to deliver commercial and distribution strategy objectives Work with the Sales Management team to suggest new products to retail, supported by clear business cases based on customer and market insight Negotiate terms to maximise profitability Monitor competitor activity including product development, marketing activity, etc. Ensure commercial and timely handling of internal and external queries Actively contribute to improving commercial support to achieve sales targets Management of Specialist and 3rd party Relationships Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to the relevant partners Notify the Sales Director of any issues which may threaten or undermine the legal or commercial integrity, service or quality of the company Arrange marketing activity (in collaboration with marketing and partners) Identify and develop specific plans to maximise revenue growth opportunities Review commercials and service proposition and agree tactical revisions to terms and relationships in collaboration with the Sales Director Assist with prompt resolution of disputes, complaints or issues which are escalated (as needed) Operational assistance for retailed products Help Sales Management with the operational performance of retailed product lines Assist with customer facing team training activities and information needs, including briefing of tactical offers where needed Assist with operational queries on topics such as supplier payments, H&S, commission levels, ABTA numbers etc. Ensure the retail offering remains ‘on brand’ Assist with removing barriers that prevent the Retail team carrying out their role effectively (systems, product information, processes) Administrative responsi bilities Responsible for completing and submitting the regular weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual KPI reports on time and to the required standard Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders Cost management: Control expenses for T&E, headcount, meetings, incentives Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast realistic sales goals, track key account metrics and analyse pro-actively manage partner performance Assist with budget forecasting activities Monitor spend against budget on a weekly and monthly basis and escalate issues to Sales Director General duties Actively champion and promote Kuoni Remain a strong ambassador of the Kuoni brand and values Incorporate the Kuoni Code of Conduct principles into everyday work practices Demonstrate Kuoni’s core values at every opportunity Continually develop personal knowledge and expertise, be pro-active and work with autonomy Fulfil team activities; attend regular team meetings and Divisional stand ups Deputise for the Sales Director as required Maintain confidentiality of company and all customer information Maintain effective communication with all departments including Product, Operations, Marketing, Finance and HR Be positive in undertaking any reasonable duties relevant to the position to ensure the success of the department You will have Essential Proven account coordination or other relevant experience Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively to external and 3 rd party tour operators.
