They are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Designer to provide expert guidance on CDM regulations and contribute to the development of the role across their offices. Backed by a team of talented architects and managers, you will assist and advise on CDM regulations and provide in-house consultation to design teams, facilitating best practice standards across the office. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert guidance to project design teams and client organisations Offer targeted health and safety risk management advice to project design teams and stakeholders Conduct project and design reviews, focusing on CDM Principal Designer appointments, while ensuring consistent pre-construction health and safety practices Lead the BRPD services, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act Maintain building regulations compliance trackers for each project and monitor design development Present architectural design ideas at meetings and industry events, emphasising compliance Stay updated on building regulations and best practices Coordinate input from project team members and consultants on compliance matters Identify areas for improvement and support the progression of office systems and policies Assist in securing new work and marketing opportunities through tenders and marketing materials Provide mentoring to junior team members Key Skills/Requirements: A degree in architecture, architectural technologies, construction, or an equivalent discipline Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), Membership of APS, or equivalent health and safety certifications 8 years of experience in construction and design management roles Strong understanding of management methodologies in design and construction projects Proven experience post-ARB registration, working on the latter stages of large-scale projects within the UK In-depth knowledge of UK building and planning regulations Architectural experience is beneficial, with a strong portfolio showcasing technical ability and design detailing Excellent communication skills in English Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving deadlines Strong organisational skills To apply for this position please click on the apply button to attach your CV (and portfolio for design positions).
