About The Role:
Due to growth within the business, they are searching for three Assembly Operators to join them. The role will support a team of existing Operators who are responsible for the assembly of door sets to a high standard.
They are not a typical assembly line and therefore you would need to be familiar with hand-assembly door hardware. The role will involve practical problem solving and hand-assembly of bespoke equipment.
The business is built on repeat customers and therefore this role will play an integral role in the Company’s continued growth.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Intricate assembly of steel door components, ironmongery and building door sets through to final assembly
2. Responsible for working in small teams in the final assembly process
3. Assemble products in accordance with customer’s requirements and written specifications
4. Manual handling of finished products
5. Complete tasks as set out by the Team Leader
6. Ensure the correct hardware is fitted and paperwork correctly marked off
7. Maintain daily and weekly targets ensuring quality at all times
8. Liaise with other production teams in the supply chain
9. Maintain a clean and tidy workstation
10. Assisting other Production teams as and when required
Experience / Qualifications needed:
1. They are a strong team and want someone who will continue to support our ethos of “Stronger Together”
2. Previous experience in manufacturing or a factory environment is a must
3. Use of hand tools/fine hand-assembly process is a must
4. Previous experience in either components assembly or joinery would be advantageous
5. High level of craftsmanship
6. Ability to solve problems practically, as and when they arise
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
8. Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality
9. Attention to detail
10. Organised and delivery focused
