An exciting opportunity to join our Showroom Team as a Demonstrator / Sales Assistant has opened up. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who loves music, can generate results, while delivering an amazing retail experience. The role will involve communicating effectively, helping clients identify the right products or services, and supporting them with any after-care they require. You will be given full training of all our sales and customer service processes, our systems, and products. Whoever is successful will gain great experience, not only of the music industry, but also transferable skills in communication, sales, customer service, and organisation. ROLE SPECIFICATION: Reports to: Showroom Manager Location: Cambridge Showroom Hours/Type: Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 Hours per week. Monday to Saturday (5 days from 6) Pay: £12-13.50 per hour plus Performance-relarted bonuses Purpose of role: To qualify enquiries, provide advice, and demonstration in the showroom, online, and on the phone to successfully close sales and meet sales targets Key Responsibilities: Meeting and greeting clients and customers in person and on the phone. Qualifying their enquiries, building trust whilst guiding customers through our sales or customer service processes to a successful outcome. Delivering industry-leading product demonstrations, adjusting them to suit customer requirements and/or overcome potential objections. Managing any after-sales enquiries, providing the highest levels of service at all stages and then encouraging excellent reviews and referrals Maintaining showroom standards including identifying instruments that require repair or maintenance and organising these to be attended to by ourselves or our partner technicians Feeding back on issues and opportunities for constant development and improvement. Supporting after-sale operations by organising tunings, deliveries, and following up with clients to in order to provide the highest levels of service at all stages ensuring excellent reviews and referrals Ensuring the showroom is maintained in a clean and tidy manner Using our stock control system to help book in stock, process invoices and maintain product data. Answering the phone and triaging calls to the relevant team members. Processing rental applications Supporting marketing events and other in store activities Ensuring all company procedures and policies are followed in a timely manner Education & Qualification: Educated to A-level or equivalent by experience Knowledge & Experience: Essential Enthusiasm for and passions for music Piano or String player (Violin, Cello, Viola, etc ) to an intermediate level Desirable Previous experience in a Retail or Sales role Skills: The ability to retain a variety of product concepts and technical information Ability to organise and prioritise a variety of tasks and responsibilities Excellent communication and presentation Excellent written communication Strong IT skills, full training will be given but you will be expected to operate a variety of different systems.
