Job: Deputy Manager

Requirements:
* Recent experience working either as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in Children's Residential
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
* Understanding of issues relating to EBD and knowledge of relevant legislation
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and make informed decisions
* A genuine passion for supporting and guiding children
* Understanding of the Children’s Act 1989 (2004)
* Understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and SCCIF
* Understanding of the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018
* 3 years’ experience in residential children’s home with a minimum 2 years in a senior post
* Proven record of working in a home at a senior level or above that is OFSTED “GOOD” or “OUTSTANDING”
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Responsibilities:
* Flexibility to respond to the needs of the home and young people.
* Ability to motivate, supervise, and appraise staff, ensuring that training and development needs are met
* Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a high standard of oral and written English – ability to write reports and chair meetings
* Ability to plan and organise the staff rotas
* Strong organisational & time management skills
