Title: Electrical Estimator
Location: Andover
Salary: £45,000 to £60,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

What will the Electrical Estimator be doing?
1. Estimating and designing a variety of Generator and UPS projects from £100,000.00 and upwards.
2. Client facing meetings and site visits to support the Key Account Managers technically.
3. Liaising and working with the Key Account Managers, Technical/Design Team, and our supply chain.
4. Issuing RFI's to clients on behalf of the Key Account Managers when required.
5. Reading and understanding client specifications.
6. Estimating / costing projects from the client's specification or Key Account Managers brief.
7. Ensuring the tender return deadlines set by the Key Account Manager are met.
8. Liaising with our supply chain to get project specific information and quotations.
9. Producing quotations that are spec compliant and ensuring we offer VE opportunities where possible whilst pointing out both opportunity and risk areas to the client and internal teams.
10. Writing of bid letters / tender responses as well as producing compliance documents.
11. Carrying out front end cost studies, designs and feasibility studies on behalf of the Key Account.
12. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
13. Producing of pricing tools / calculators.
14. Ensuring that the system wording is correct, up to date and technically compliant whilst being written in a client friendly way.
What we are looking for in the Electrical Estimator?
1. Positive mental attitude.
2. Self-motivated, and trustworthy to work effectively with minimal supervision.
3. Accountable, honest, dedicated, determined and loyal.
4. Good interpersonal skills.
5. Good verbal and written presentation skills.
6. Happy to travel if required.
7. Minimum 3 years within the industry, or Estimating in a similar environment (Manufacturing, Engineer, Aerospace, Generators, UPS).
8. Experience in one of the following areas:
1. Estimating high turnover capital projects in different industries;
2. Project management within an engineering industry;
3. Experience within mechanical or electrical commercial environments.
9. Strong practical electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge.
10. IT skills, fluent with Outlook, Excel, & Word.
11. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification is desired.
12. Able to read mechanical or electrical drawings.
