Early years Skills Bootcamps are free courses linked to paid roles. It's a chance to get the skills that employers are looking for before being introduced to a nursery near you.
These government-funded programmes are carefully developed in collaboration with top early years employers to kickstart your career in early years education. The intensive course, lasting from 3 to 12 weeks, combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge.
The Skills Bootcamp in Early Years includes:
1. Register with Realise
2. Meet your Career Coach - they will offer one-to-one support throughout the programme
3. Apply for your DBS, which is paid for by Realise
4. Join the 3-week in-person course or opt for the 6-week mid-week or 12-week Saturday only online programme which delves into the skills required for a successful career in early years.
5. Gain your paediatric first aid qualification
6. Upon finishing the course, your Career Coach will assist you in finding apprenticeship opportunities
7. Progress to a level 3 apprenticeship recognised by the industry - completing it in six months less than other available routes!
Our early years Skills Bootcamps are entirely free, including essential certifications like paediatric first aid and the DBS application.
Upon successful completion, you are guaranteed an interview for a paid position at a nearby nursery, with the option to transition to an accelerated level 3 early years educator apprenticeship, saving you up to 6 months of learning time and helping you become qualified faster.
With individualised support at each stage, early years Skills Bootcamps provide a comprehensive and accessible platform for launching a fulfilling career in early years.
Please note that this training course is fully funded, meaning learners do not have to pay anything for the qualification.
