Academic Appointments are currently working in partnership with a number of SEND schools in Sheffield and Barnsley to appoint committed and excellent Behaviour Support Workers to support their schools and staff.
We are looking for individuals that have previous experience of working with challenging behaviour, physical, social and emotional needs. We are also interested in hearing from those who have a strong care and sports background and are seeking to transition their skills into an education setting.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be required to work with individual pupils, groups of children and the whole class. You will be required to support pupils with a range of abilities and support the Class Teacher.
Our schools can offer part-time, full-time, short-term and long-term roles.

Experience
Previous experience of working with challenging behaviour and SEND
Requirements
Ability to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
Strong behaviour management skills

A valid DBS or willing to obtain

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
