We are delighted to be working with an Ofsted-rated "Good" school in Darwen that is actively recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant.
This role involves providing 1:1 support for a KS2 student who requires assistance in managing behaviour within a classroom environment.
- Provide 1:1 support to students struggling with behaviour management.
- Deliver pastoral interventions for students with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Collaborate with the SENCO to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
- Uphold safeguarding standards within the school setting.
- Support students with the KS2 curriculum, including phonics schemes.
Experience with SEN students is highly desirable, but candidates with transferable skills are also encouraged to apply.
- Pay: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour (PAYE)
- Location: BB3 area of Darwen
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Start Date: Immediate start upon completion of registration
- Weekly Pay: Processed through school timesheets
You will work within a supportive and dedicated team that is passionate about the development of SEN students.
You will also liaise closely with the school's SENCO and HLTAs to better understand each student's unique requirements.
- Experience in supporting behaviour management for SEN/SEMH students.
