Providing legal services to members on civil claims, GMC/GDC investigations, MPTS hearings, FAIs, and general advice queries.
Settling claims within approved limits for damages and costs, with authority to delegate decisions to junior legal staff.
Collaborating with medical and dental advisors to support member services.
Assisting other departments, including contributing to publications and providing training to MDDUS staff and members.
The ideal candidate will be between NQ-2 years PQE; however, the team will also consider early 2025 qualifiers, second-year trainees with litigation or medical negligence experience, or individuals with a criminal law background who possess the required skills.
This is a full-time position with hybrid working opportunities. MDDUS offers a modern office and a supportive team. Tuesdays are currently considered 'Anchor Days', and all employees are expected to attend the office on this day.
