Specialist Child and Adolescent MSK Physiotherapist
We are looking for a permanent Highly Specialist Paediatric MSK Physiotherapist to join our Community Children's Therapy Team in West Essex, covering Uttlesford, Harlow, and Epping Forest, to help us continue to change things for the better.
Therapy will be delivered in clinic, at a number of locations in West Essex between Monday - Friday 9am-5pm; however, we are flexible with these times and offer hybrid working options.
You will be involved in the supervision of colleagues and improving the delivery of services, whilst working closely with our team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Therapy Assistants.
Working in a diverse multidisciplinary team with other dedicated staff, you will benefit from the support of friendly and inclusive colleagues, with access to regular supervision and team meetings.
We are presenting to government and other local authorities around the country on our integrated partnership model with Barnardos, a model that drives efficiencies so we can put more people in our services, spending time with children and families to improve health outcomes in the local community.
Main duties of the job
You will use your experience to deliver excellent assessment and treatment to a varied selection of children and young people aged 8-18 with diverse MSK conditions with responsibilities including but not limited to:
* Supervising the Band 6 MSK physiotherapist including completing the appraisal documentation and caseload review.
* Leading on departmental development of MSK services.
* Reviewing referral rates, caseloads, and waiting lists in conjunction with the Physiotherapy Team lead.
* Liaising with referrers and GPs on discharge.
* Leading and participating in training programmes within the team.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be a qualified Physiotherapist with HCPC registration and have experience of working with children and young people with MSK conditions.
You will be innovative and adaptable, with the ability to work flexibly across specialities as needs arise and a passion for improving the outcomes of children and young people within the local community.
With strong communication and organization skills, and a flexible approach, you will ensure delivery of positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey.
As this is a community role, it is essential that you hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.
