The Finance Manager is an important role in Openwork Partnership supporting the finance function in completion of month end reporting, regulatory reporting and ensuring continuous improvement in the control environment whilst supporting the year end audit.
You will have a key role in the development and on-going maintenance of appropriate best-in-class process and controls within the Finance Team and the on-going development and maintenance of the Finance Function Manual. Acting as a core member of the Openwork Finance team, helping it to achieve its operational and reporting objectives whilst ensuring that it delivers a high quality and cost-effective service to all stakeholders. Key Accountabilities
1. Management of month end process across the team and ownership of key processes payroll, cash control culminating with the production of the month end report.
2. Completion of the FCA regulatory reporting advice submission and oversight of the investment firms.
3. Maintain integrity & accuracy of balance sheet along with preparation and review of monthly reconciliations.
4. Challenge and understanding of the complaints provision to report on this whilst ensuring this meets the accounting standard.
5. Identify key processes/controls in Finance and work with the relevant people/teams to remedy and improve process and control deficiencies.
6. Maintenance and ownership of the Finance Function Manual & Finance Operating Procedures to ensure these are fit for purpose, complete and continuously improved.
7. Operational management of the Treasury function and banking systems with support and direction from Head of Financial Reporting & Control.
8. Oversight and support of the cash forecast model with ongoing development.
9. Ownership of the Finance system, identifying improvements for controls, managing upgrades and new reporting requirements.
10. Attendee of the Debt committee, providing updates on the provision and analysis of the movement.
11. Support the year end audit and responsibility for delivery of own and direct reports audit requests.
12. Management and mentoring of team to support and encourage their development
13. Support Financial Reporting & Controls Team along with the wider finance team on ad-hoc work including projects.

14. Salary - £47,000 to £67,000
15. Bonus scheme - on target bonus -10%
16. Pension scheme - contribute up to 5% of your salary and Openwork will match you and put in an extra 5%

What will you need to succeed?
Qualifications/ Experience
22. Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant or can demonstrate substantial, relevant experience across Finance
23. Experience of working in a financial accounting role within a large organisation
24. Involvement and delivery of month end reporting providing analysis and insight of the result
25. Deadline and task orientated
26. Strong communication skills at all levels
27. Knowledge of Financial Services would be advantageous
