The Role:
Our User Researchers work directly with the people who access support, advice, guidance, payments and services, to turn user needs into brilliant user-centric services.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and lead user research activities across complex projects and services.
2. Utilise a wide range of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative.
3. Define problems and select appropriate research strategies to understand and design for users' needs.
4. Champion user-centred and evidence-based approaches within the community.
5. Make recommendations based on research outcomes to inform product and service delivery.
6. Work in an agile environment as part of multi-disciplinary project teams.
7. Advocate for inclusive research principles, considering diversity in user needs.
Requirements:
1. Experience in user research and familiarity with various research tools and methodologies.
2. Able to help teams plan and define user research approaches.
3. Align research activities with organisational goals.
4. Distinguish user needs from user wants across channels.
5. Work with and challenge senior stakeholders.
6. Prioritise and mitigate constraints effectively.
