About this opportunity:
The successful postholder will request, receive and investigate data which relates to the waste and recycling activity of both Cumberland Council and Westmorland & Furness Councils. There will be a need to work to tight reporting timescales and be the lead on the Waste Disposal Team’s responsibility to ensure that data is analysed, validated, challenged where applicable and ultimately agreed.
Working on your own initiative and as part of a small, dedicated team, you will be involved in navigating changes in legislation and evolution of waste services within a contract environment and therefore participation in planning and analysing impact of changes will be a key part of the role.
Who we’re looking for:
This role requires a diligent and committed individual whom can navigate fluctuating demands on their time. If you have an eye for detail and are competent at working with numbers and analysing where there are trends or anomalies to investigate, then this role is for you. Ideally with accounting experience and appropriate qualifications equivalent to AAT level 3 or above.
This is a hybrid role where some time will need to be spent working at the Parkhouse Building in Carlisle and occasionally attending in person meetings in Cumberland or Westmorland & Furness Council areas.
