About The Role
We are looking to offer a Banking Analyst the opportunity to join our expanding Financial Shared Service Centre (FSSC) team based in Stevenage, on a 12 month fixed term contract .
About the role
You will report to the Sub Ledger Manager and will support the Finance Shared Service Centre operations by being responsible for the daily reconciliation and administration of a growing number of Group Company Bank Accounts.

As a Banking Analyst, you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Facilitate and monitor company payments using the banking platforms and ensure control and audit measures are adhered to.
2. Ensures Group Company bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis and any outstanding items are escalated and resolved appropriately.
3. Provide daily cash balances to company Directors and key personnel.
4. Deliver administration tasks related to company banking systems including user access management.
5. Deliver timely month end balance sheet bank reconciliations in line with the financial calendar.
6. Provide reporting and analysis as required.
7. Work closely with the Department Manager and the Group Head of Financial Shared Services to transition any new business into the Department.
What you’ll bring?
8. Ideally working towards or have achieved a formal accountancy qualification
9. Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
10. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to work within a high-volume transactional team.
12. Good numeracy skills.
13. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
14. Intermediate to advanced excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting etc
15. An analytical mind with a good eye for detail.
16. Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationship
