Our client is excited to announce an opportunity for an Associate to join their award-winning Personal Tax Team. This team is renowned for its expertise in handling private clients and owner-managed businesses, including individuals, partnerships, and trusts. As one of the largest teams outside the big four in Scotland, they offer a vibrant working environment and a pathway for professional growth.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Prepare and compute income tax returns as part of the annual personal tax compliance service.
* Handle Capital Gains Tax computations and returns.
* Progress to preparing partnership and trust tax returns as your experience develops.
* Draft correspondence to clients, HM Revenue & Customs, and third parties.
* Assist with general taxation matters, including delivering ad hoc tax advice.
* Communicate via telephone with HM Revenue & Customs and other third parties.
* Perform general administration tasks associated with the annual tax compliance service, including using Microsoft Word and Excel.
* As you progress, you will have the opportunity to meet with clients and their advisors alongside more senior colleagues.
