Your impact: As the Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance, repair, and inspection activities of mechanical & hydraulic equipment used in offshore geotechnical operations. Leading a team of skilled technicians, you'll oversee maintenance schedules, implement preventive strategies, and ensure safe and efficient operations. International travel may be required to support activities across our fleet. The Job: Supervise and support a team of mechanical & hydraulic technicians. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment. Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime. Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Identify opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with other departments to optimize equipment performance. Assist in selection and training of team members. Stay updated with industry trends and recommend equipment upgrades. The Person: HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Mechanical & Hydraulic Engineering or related field. Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial/marine setting, preferably offshore operations. Certifications in relevant areas. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including diesel engines, pumps, and geotechnical drilling equipment. Strong knowledge & practical experience of Hydraulic systems. Knowledge of high-pressure pneumatics or compensation systems is advantageous. Able to interpret hydraulic schematics whilst diagnosing problems. Experienced in refurbishment of hydraulic components, pumps & motors. Experience in team leadership and effective management of technicians. Proficient in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical issues. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in mechanical maintenance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
