About the Company: Our client is a prominent, tier 1 main contractor with a strong presence in the UK construction industry, specializing in the delivery of high-profile projects across the education, residential, retail, and general construction sectors. With a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service on every project, they are looking for an experienced Regional Quality Manager to lead and manage quality assurance and control functions across multiple projects within the designated region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quality Assurance Leadership: Oversee the implementation of quality management systems across multiple projects in the region, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.
* Monitoring & Auditing: Regularly audit and assess the quality performance of ongoing projects. Conduct inspections and identify potential issues early to ensure compliance with technical specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements.
* Project Support: Provide quality guidance and support to project teams, including site managers, construction teams, and subcontractors, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met.
* Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve internal processes, procedures, and quality control measures, ensuring efficient execution of projects with minimal issues or delays.
* Risk Management: Identify and manage quality-related risks on projects. Develop and implement corrective actions for quality concerns that arise during construction phases.
* Training & Development: Lead quality training sessions for project teams, ensuring all staff are up-to-date on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant construction codes, regulations, and health and safety standards. Produce detailed quality reports for senior management, clients, and stakeholders.
* Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet the necessary quality requirements and adhere to project specifications.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in a quality management role, preferably with experience in the construction, education, residential, or retail sectors.
* Qualifications: Relevant degree (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management) or professional certifications in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CQI).
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control systems, construction processes, and industry regulations.
* Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in assessing quality and compliance across projects.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing quality issues.
* IT Proficiency: Proficient in using quality management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Procore, Aconex) and experience in managing documentation and reporting.
