Description Position Overview As a Manager in the Technical Direction competency, the mission of this role is to lead and develop a team of Technical Directors who are responsible for the successful technical delivery of projects across their market specialty within TAIT. This role will implement, translate and deliver the strategy created by the Director, Technical Delivery, working closely with other Heads of Departments to ensure consistency in the delivery of projects, and to ensure alignment of processes, systems and best practices. The Manager, Technical Direction will ensure that the right people are allocated to the right projects, balancing level of experience with opportunities to learn. Their contribution to project resourcing will require scheduling and moving resources, sometimes at the last minute and on a regular basis. The management scope of the role requires the Manager, Technical Direction to build a high performance team, provide coaching to team members and generate opportunities for mentoring and learning, either directly or through interactions with other senior members of the team. This role will ensure the team consistently deliver at a high level, and providing direct and constructive feedback where needed to ensure that level is maintained. Close collaboration with all the Capabilities at TAIT will be key to the success of this role, with the involvement of these teams spanning the full project lifecycle. Significant experience in Technical Direction, management, and leadership Substantial experience in the entertainment or live event industry, specifically related to technical disciplines Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver large-scale projects plus demonstrated in-field performance in the production and installation of multiple projects. Work conditions of the role are : Work conditions may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions. Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work within or visit areas where required. This includes, safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, and other PPE as required by the location LI-AB1
