Systems Installation Integrator
12 Month contract - Inside IR35 - up to £48 p/h
Broughton, England. Full Onsite
Must be British due to the nature of work and clearance needed
The Wing Systems Installation Team plays an important part in ensuring that the client manufactures the world's best aircraft by delivering mature, robust, and fully optimized wing systems installation designs to cost, time, and quality.
The successful applicant will join the Systems Installation Integration Team to support frontline plant engineering related activities. They will be part of a small team co-located in Broughton Plant. Due to the dynamic nature of the team, the core engineering activities will cover multiple systems (e.g., Fuel, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Electrics) across the Wing perimeter. Prior experience in Systems Installation is required, and a prior/current signature holder in this area is desirable but not essential.
Task & Accountabilities:
The Wing Systems Installation team was created in response to the challenges posed by a new and evolving strategy. Its primary objective is to deliver effective design solutions to all programmes on time, within cost, and to quality standards while providing its resources with opportunities for development and progression to meet its vision of a fully capable, sustainable, autonomous, and adaptable team able to meet all future challenges.
Responsibilities:
* Representing the Filton Design Team in Broughton Plant across all Programmes.
* Managing day-to-day manufacturing issues (i.e., non-conformities and design evolution).
* Stakeholder management, including suppliers and resolving any wing/aircraft delivery blockers.
* Integration across all Programme Streams. Interface transnationally and across Programme Boundaries.
* Fostering a feedback culture and focusing on customers. Engage the team and manage stakeholder relationships.
* Support to Final Assembly Lines (FALs) worldwide.
Required Skills:
* Experience in fluid, mechanical, or electrical systems installations.
* Agile, with excellent communication skills and a strong work/team ethos.
* Systems installation signature delegations are desirable.
* Motivated to lead and deliver steady state and future systems installation operations, projects, and embrace change.
* Able to make or influence decisions in a complex network of stakeholders and customers.
* Agility with people and fostering a strong wellbeing mindset.
* Knowledge and experience in CATIA.
